How to Handle "Hanging Issues" That Arise During Your Training

Use this technique to address unresolved issues and/or questions that may come up over the course of a day or half-day of training.

Instructions:

  • Provide a space on one of the walls in the training room that is entitled, "hanging issues." Use the kid's version of a hangman to add a little flair to the space itself.
  • Make sure that all trainees understand the space, and provide a pad of Post-It notes on each training table.
  • Prior to each break and lunch, take one or two of the Post-It notes and address the issue listed.
This is a great way to honor participants' queries without interrupting the flow of training. It can also serve as a review at the end of each training segment.

Purpose:

Participants can use Post-It notes to list issues or questions they may have that were not fully addressed during the training segments.
